I KNOW what a bitch the job is and I TRY to be nice!

We have had no heat or hot water since Monday morning, the engineer came out yesterday said "ive ordered your part, it will be in Wednesday so I should be back Thursday"

Today Clen May call up "just calling to arrange for your part to be fitted Friday"

Me "I thought it would be Thursday"

CM "No we dont have an engineer available Thursday, first availability is Friday"

Me "I have small children in the house we have no heat or hot water since Monday, could you please make it Thursday"

CM "hang on while I talk to my manager"

CM "my manager says we will not have the part till Friday"

hmm I got the impression when she first called that they already had it!

I wouldnt be so critical if Clen May hadnt left us without heat & water Christmas 2006 - I just saw red and having done customer service (and knowing you are not the person who makes the decision just takes the flak) I just said "im not happy, im hanging up"

Have now written a stonking letter to Clen May and Domestic & general telling them how cross I am...I doubt they give a toss but it made me feel better

sob...its so cold, I ache all over and I just want a hot shower. May have to resort to alcohol!

I have a VERY clean house, its too cold to sit down and do nothing!

The worst thing is if you need to get up for a wee in the night...we never have our heat on at night but you dont realise how much heat the house retains. Having a nightmare getting the kids out of bed in the morning too

AND....I only own ONE jumper LOL...

Could you buy or borrw a fan heater ?

They were a godsend for us we boticed that it was the hallway and kitchen that got the coldest so we just bought two cheap ones from argos I think they were a tenner each and did help.

Know what you mean about the clean house lol

hmmm .. so now you don't even have someone coming on friday? which is only an extra day away?

methinks you just chopped off your nose to spite your face

We have an oil filled radiator in the living room, hubby & I were huddling over the gas hob at lunch time LOL

Keep trying to tell myself not to be so wet but my hands are freezing (perhaps I should put gloves on)

Put some gloves on and have something warming like a nice whisky cup of tea
