To be this pissed off?

That I've lost the TV remote.

I had it an hour ago when I turned TV off, settled DD and thought I'll sit and relax and catch up on some TV but nope, can't find remote anywhere so now I sit in silence.

I'm sure my house has some kind of alternate universe where things disappear to... TV remote, cutlery, one sock... utterly miffed.

Places I've found mine before and have no idea how when or why they got there...

On top of the loo in the bathroom.

Fridge.

On the coffee table right in front of me where they always are but for some reason they must have turned invisible for half an hour because I took the sofa to pieces looking for them, because I'm SURE they weren't on the coffee table when I went to pick them up initially.

Handbag.

We moved house and a few months later the new owner called- they’d found our TV remote lodged down the back of the radiator, whilst cleaning.Must have fallen off the window ledge when we pulled the curtains.
Embarrassing thing was, the remote belonged to a TV we’d owned many years before - I’d never cleaned behind the radiators 🥴

In DDs bedroom? Or somewhere on the way up?

Retrace your steps from when you took dd to bed.

Are there buttons on your tv to operate manually? This is what I have to resort to when I lose the remote (regularly).

So DD just woke up and it turns out the remote was in her room.

I think she stole it to make me suffer.
