Mother and Baby
link to video on Twitter of baby chimpanzee meeting it’s mother having been on oxygen immediately after birth.

I didn’t feel anything. But I am depressed 🤷‍♀️

JeniferAllisonPhillipaSue · 18/11/2022 11:45

Oh, how must she have felt not knowing where her baby was.

TalkisChips · 18/11/2022 11:45

Chimpanzees are our closest family. They feel the same emotions we do. It's just a shame so many have to live in zoos, because in their own habitat they are at risk of harm from humans.

Westendbuoys · 18/11/2022 12:14

I've cried harder at that than I did when I met my own baby!

PortiasBiscuit · 18/11/2022 12:15

Lovely, bless them both

OnlyFannys · 18/11/2022 12:17

They ways she runs to her baby when she realises and clings on so tight 😭 poor thing wouldnt have understood they were trying to help her baby

EternalStench · 18/11/2022 12:21

I agree, how disgusting is that room it's in?

🙄
That’s an enclosure- protection from the elements, access to food. Chimpanzees wouldn’t want to be in a room, they’re wild animals. The mother and child reunion wouldn’t have happened without human intervention, the baby was delivered by caesarean and given oxygen.
