To have them all!

Netflix, Prime and Disney+
(Also have sky and Dh has all the sports channels)
I just think it's excessive having them all. The kids love their netflix stuff and I use prime a lot for shopping, but lots of stuff I want to watch is currently on disney+ and I'm flip flopping between getting it and not!

We have all three but just use Freeview otherwise, we had sky last year but it was getting ridiculously priced so we decided to cancel and pay for the three of those instead. They are all used daily so it's justified but it would be the first thing to go if we couldn't afford it.

44PumpLane · 17/11/2022 20:45

We have Prime, Netflix, Disney Plus, Now Tv movies, Sky Entertainment, Spotify and Google Drive Storage!

Prime is for delivery with tv as a bonus.
Disney is a must in our household for the kids and for me watching Grey's, 9-1-1, Station 19 etc etc etc
Netflix I could take or leave but my husband likes the comedy on it
Husband also insists upon Sky "just in case" though rarely watches it- this is what I would get rid of
Now tv movies is £1.99 a month till Feb which is the only reason I have it

We have excessive amounts of tv streaming services!!!!

(We can afford it though, if at any point we needed to cut back I think all but Disney would go)

misskatamari · 17/11/2022 20:47

If you use them and can afford it, who cares. We have all those, plus appletv+ and an anime subscription too. We don’t spend loads of money on expensive other things, don’t have sky/virgin etc, and never watch “normal” telly, so it works for us.

Activelyannoyed · 17/11/2022 20:49

We are the same, for sky and Disney + we pay 104 a month, we then pay bbc Netflix and prime on top. But we have prime for the delivery, my husband uses rhe sports channels constantly and my daughter and I use Netflix and Disney a lot, I’m currently bingeing greys anatomy , and we all watch serieses and movies on sky. It’s expensive and periodically I call sky and complain. Reduce the cost and then it’s back up again. Sigh.

AuntieEntity · 17/11/2022 20:51

I pay for that, and Paramount+ I spent so much time at home and can't remember the last time I had a night out (single mum with very little childcare), so I don't begrudge the cost for me and DC.

Marmiteontoastyum · 17/11/2022 20:55

We downgraded our Netflix lately to save some money, got to keep though as nearly all DC’s programmes are on it but we are ok the basic package now

Prime I agree, is mega useful, I use it for deliveries all the time.

Disney+ we got rid of as wasn’t using it much.

But we also have AppleTv so that’s another one!

rainydaysandcake · 17/11/2022 21:08

I have all three, and use all three

WolvesOfTheCalla · 17/11/2022 21:12

I have Prime (student price, I’m PG), Netflix (full price) Disney + (Black Friday deal last year, half price), AppleTV (free for 12 months with DDs iPad Pro - doubt I’ll keep the subscription though, apart from Liseys Story, it’s a bit shit!) and I’ve just got rid of NowTV because I refuse to pay £20 a month for adverts to pop every 10 mins when watching something.

No Sky/Virgin, though. I have a Roku TV and there’s a lot of stuff free with ads.

mrs55 · 17/11/2022 21:24

I love Disney plus I paid for the year ! Also have sky Netflix and Amazon I’d honestly give the sky up but need it for the sports channels.

I think Amazon Prime is amazingly good value. I'm in Australia, and it costs equivalent of £34 per annum. I order a lot from them, and I also think that they have some excellent TV shows.

Snoooozzze · 17/11/2022 21:36

I pay for all 3 as it's my luxury spend- I don't buy anything fancy, eat the basics mainly, hardly any makeup/cosmetics/clothes spending so I justify it that way Smile

It's entirely up to you if you feel it's a waste of money but if it's something that will be well used then it's not a waste IMO

Firefly86 · 18/11/2022 15:05

Thanks all, I think I'll get disney and see how we get on. It's actually the cheapest of the lot so might work out if they swap to disney I'll cancel netflix for a while.

Is it worth holding out for black Friday offers at this stage?

workingeverysingkeday · 18/11/2022 15:16

We have the full Sky package. Netflix and Disney. It's ridiculous but DH likes sports and kids like Disney ive cancelled prime though cos it's a bit shit.
However my brother pays for the Disney and in return he uses our Netflix
So we pay £100 per month

mrs55 · 18/11/2022 15:51

I’d wait for the deals if u can it’s the only time they ever do any deals for Disney on the Black Friday.
