Remove hair extensions at home?

I currently have tape in hair extensions and am switching to bonded hair extensions.

The cost of this is ridiculous.
I'm paying for:

  • new hair extensions £400
  • removal of current hair extensions £60
  • refresh of my natural hair colour £120
  • new extensions to be applied £205

To mitigate costs I can purchase the (same) hair extensions myself using student discount which will lower the hair cost by £80.

I might also try and remove my current tape extensions at home to save that £60. Do you think I would risk pulling my natural hair out? My hairdresser just seems to use some oily/alcohol mix to slide them down so seems straightforward

Hi OP. I remove my bond extensions myself before I have a new set put in, but that is relatively straightforward and no damage is caused.

You could YouTube it? I'm sure someone has the answer on there!

Thank you! How do you like bonded extensions? How long do you keep them in before removing them? It's very exciting
