I’m really desperate 😞 my face is a mess and my make up just slides off the affected patches. It’s making me not want to go out.

My mum had really bad rosacea. She had IPL on her face about 12 years ago. I think she had 6-8 sessions and it was amazing. It's barely noticeable now.
The higher you can stand it the better it will work. She's worn Olay spf30 face cream since and no issues.

Have a look at your local beauty salons. I don't remember how much it was - probably £200-300 back then. I imagine the therapy has improved a lot since then too.

You do have to watch what you eat, for me, no alcohol, yoghurt, certain fruit like pears, kiwifruit, banana. No chocolate, nothing spicy, even lightly spiced. No tomatoes or cheese. Work out what is your triggers and go from there.

You poor thing, I hope you can resolve it. I had this when I was younger but it's not come back since. I found that putting a little neat tea tree oil on the area as soon as a patch of rosacea started to develop completely stopped it. It was the only thing that ever worked. I think neat tea tree is extremely strong so you have to be very very sparing in how you use it. I did use stuff with tea tree extract e.g., a cream, but it didn't really do much.

Another recommendation for Soolantra here, cleared mine up for good after years of suffering with it. Got mine from online pharmacy, all v straightforward.
