Just that really, mine is, she came back after graduating uni at 21 and works full time in a job related to her degree, which we are all very happy about. DD pays board in case you was wondering. I don’t mind her being at home and she can stay here as long as she likes.

Yes my 22 year old is still in University and still living at home, she doesn't pay anything because she's in her final year and not not working while she finishes

Happylittlethoughts · 15/11/2022 16:05

Yes, never left. I hope she stays longer x

gogohmm · 15/11/2022 16:13

2/4 are still at home

2/4 are still at home

this probably delays people downsizing if they were planning to.

my MIL is likely to always have 1/4 at her home. This does mean she is less likely to downsize. my SIL has grown used to have an 'office'. I think she may have if it was only her.

DorritLittle · 15/11/2022 16:19

I was at home again at 22. And, although not all at once, 23, 24, 25, 26 and 27.

My 22 year old is now in the process of moving out. I'm very disappointed to be losing my IT support.

Northernsoullover · 15/11/2022 16:22

Mine are still at home as one is doing a levels and the older one is in college. (17 & 19) however, my younger one will be going to university locally. I fully expect them to be living with me for the foreseeable future. Its too expensive for them to move out and they need to save. Fortunately we all get on very well..

BertieQueen · 15/11/2022 16:26

We are in the south east where properties are ridiculously expensive.

Know so many people living with parents they are all aged between 20-35, majority over 30. Very common at the moment.

My eldest DS is 24 and now back home for a while, but he’s saving for his deposit on a flat so hopefully will only be for a year or so. It’s nice having him around and he gets on with his sister.

My nearly 25 year old still lives at home. Studying to be a solicitor whilst working full time. I am happy to house her until she qualifies as I don't want her to waste money on rent. She is saving for a deposit although I will still need to top it up. Times have changed since I was her age, a lot, lot harder for young people to launch.

I moved out at 29 managed to save for my own house
