To demand tooth extraction

I'm 30 years old and one of my wisdom teeth still isn't through but causes me agony every so often. I'll go through stages where it's fine and then stages where it's so so painful.

I've been to the dentist several times during painful stages and each time they say the tooth is partially ruptured but if it fails to come through they'll remove it... And yet no one ever seems to want to give the go ahead to do so.

For the past week I've been in agony again with it, gums ruptured, sore and swollen but the tooth is just in the same position as it always is. It never fully comes through.

I'm now thinking of basically demanding it's removed now. I can't cope with this anymore it's so painful and it's obviously not wanting to come through, it's been years of this on and off agony with the same tooth!

AIBU to insist no more waiting around now, I want it out as clearly it's not coming through properly (all others through years ago with no issues).
