To be a bit protective over my skip

Basically

I've just shouted at a man looking to take yet alone more stuff out of my skip. Which I've been trying for weeks to fill up.

Had the skip around 4 weeks it's going today half full because I can't cope with people taking stuff out of it or putting more stuff in it.

Random neighbours going out late at night putting their crap in it.

I've had people put dog poo in it 4 nights in a row until I put a note on then magically watched a couple remove it.

I've had workmen employed by the local council to do work outside my house place their waste in it. Which has now made me look insane when I've complained because they've taken what the men left thats worth money but the rest of it is in there. And the council have been charged for waste removal and the job but both the waste removal and the job have been paid by me (service charge every week for lights)

I've had scrap men hovering for weeks around it watching like vultures etc every day something new is taken.

I know metal has scrap value. But I want the skip company to be able to take anything useful for scrap not some opportunists waiting to make money out of my rubbish as I've employed them.

If you ask me and I say it's fine. Go ahead. But I find it an invasion of privacy someone looking in your rubbish, or adding to it..

I also left a note on the skip saying to stay away from my skip but it blew inside grrrr.

I basically feel like I've opened my own 24/7 recycling plant that I get no benefit from.

For added drip feeds I'm 33 weeks pregnant and hormonal. Please take that into account Blush

So yabu- you've chucked it it's public property, people can do what they want

Yanbu - they are a bunch of cf'ers and I would shout at them all too.

I love a skip. I do not mind people taking stuff. Sometimes they ask which is sweet. I like things being reused and it means more space for more things. One of my dining tables came out of a skip.

People filling it up would annoy me. It's not a public convenience. The skip company I use recycle as much as possible.

I always order the skip, fill it up then get it collected quickly.

If I have something that takes time to move, like dirt then that goes in first.

If you have got a lot of metal scrap, particularly aluminum or copper pipes you might be better off going down a local scrap yard. MS is not worth much but you can get a fish supper out of copper or ally if you have a few kgs of it.
