No bank will contact you in this way. If at all uncertain instead of clicking on the link call your bank on the number on the back of your card and ask if you have been contacted by them

It doesn't even have the name of the bank in it. Plus your bank would never contact you in this way.

Copy the message and forward it to 7726 (SPAM). This helps your wireless provider spot and block similar messages in the future.

The unusual wording is the giveaway.

Especially the ‘Not you, advance to’. It’s poorly written.

It is a scam, BUT my bank does text me when I set up standing orders or make payments. The difference is, they put part of the account number in the text and don't ask me to click any links if it is an error

no bank’s url would be just be generic ‘online banking’

The only time I 'advance to' is if I'm going to Mayfair.

Santander have a spoof text service, you can forward it on to them. I got a text exactly like that and I am not, and never have been with Santander
