To wonder how people have sex with adult dc still at home

We have 3 adult dc in their 20s, one had moved out but has now moved back home.
Our home will always be their home but there's always someone home and I suppose I thought by now we would have some us time back.
To my knowledge they have never heard a thing but I can't relax knowing they are in their rooms especially at night when it's quiet and I know they aren't asleep.
They do go out some evenings but rarely all at the same time.
What do people do?

What 16 year old (or anyone of any age) is fine with hearing their parents have sex? Gross, and 16 isn't even an adult anyway.

Just have sex? Quietly?

From being teens they're usually pretty aware of not wanting to "interrupt" anything and it's not like they want to see their parents at it so doubt they'll just come in without knocking!

I'm not sure why it would be different depending on age? You quite down if there are kids in the house, or wait til they're out.

I’m surprised by the continental attitude in these comments- where are all the repressed Brits?! Maybe it’s my upbringing but I would hate this but too & I couldn’t imagine doing it knowing DD was awake/ nearby. Luckily she’s only 6 at the moment!

I know sex is important to my dh and it would probably break us not being able to have any sex life.
It's all very good saying do it when they're out the house but op has said there's 3 of them and they never go out at the same time.
How long is parenting this day and age?
Mine are only small but I dread to think how this will work.
Is there a link between marriage not lasting these days and children never moving out?
