Does it not show it on the actual thread though?

It was so much better when you could see in active the date the thread was started, before even clicking on it

Ah ok. Yes I see. I suppose I just read the words then. Am always surprised when someone suddenly comments "FFS zombie thread!"

I’ve changed registration details so many times, as in deleting my account and singing up again a few months later or with a new email address so it wouldn’t recognise me.

Just opened this one & no date though. I'm on am Iphone11 I think 🤷🏻‍♀️

I think that was one from yesterday.
I'm on a Samsung, so maybe its different on Android.

But some do have dates on. Or the time. Maybe it depends who posted it?

The older ones aren't showing the dates, so I quickly scroll down to check, then report.

I think MN have sorted it anyway, for the moment.

I wonder this too but so many people seem way over invested in this site and ‘the rules’ as they see them.

It’s not about rules for me.

I open a thread that looks interesting and if it is I want to engage with the posters or help OP.

Obviously that’s not happening if the thread is 15 years old.

Right now it's best not to comment, even to complain, as it just feeds the troll and bumps the thread.

The worst is like "AIBU to be annoyed DH won't cover our child's days off ill from nursery" and it's 12 years old so said child is doing GCSEs and that couple has split up and remarried. Commenting without realising is a waste of time.

Commenting anything on anything is pretty much a waste of time thinking existentially 😁

Honestly OP. I get it. They irritate me too. I've started to check the OP date on every single thread and then immediately hide it. It's a pain but it gives the troll nothing - unlike this thread which will have him rubbing his thighs and nursing a semi. Just hide them.

Ah man I just fell for one! Never heard of it before and then looked at the date, it was 2009. The asthmatic child in question is now 17. Why bother doing this on purpose?
