What do working parents do?
I want to change my job and I'm looking for something closer to home, and closer to child's school...however childcare is a nightmare and the only thing stopping it all!
Currently there are no spaces for after school, which I feel is an issue with the system.
If parents sign up from the start in reception they are laughing now, because there are no spaces for anyone new and haven't been term after term.
I know I could use a childminder but the local ones unfortunately don't have the best reputation, I've also seen them wondering around with the kids and the kids look flipping miserable.
I guess I could look around?
I have an interview next week at a school and I feel like I shouldn't even bother because there's no childcare available for me to use should I be successful.
My parent's won't help, and other family are overseas. Friends are all busy and in the same boat but their parents/family help.
I currently have 0 childcare costs, but my job is miles away so fuel costs are a huge issue and, there will never be a pay increase and I'm exhausted and hate it hence the change in job to something nearer to home and school jobs will be good for holidays as partner is also a teacher.
What do I do!!??
