I had a childhood best friend who for no reason stopped wanting to be friends. As in I asked to meet up and she said she was busy every day for the next 3 months. I mean 😅. There must be a reason but she never elaborated. She cut a lot of people out over the years though.

I ended one because she kept asking me to do things, borrow her money, give her lifts. Then she cancelled us meeting up to go on a date with a man (a second date and she’d only met up with him the night before). But she didn’t cancel she kept saying 1 more hour. Reading back I was an absolute mug.

I still miss my ex bestest friend so much that it is like a bereavement . We met at Uni and were inseparable and had a shared love of theatre, arts, novels, music everything and she made life so utterly exhilarating and was a magnificent conversationalist . We stopped being friends after she lost interest in me after I had a baby and after her husband got me to confess she was having a long-standing affair leading to an epic showdown between them both . I felt riddled with guilt but he knew about the affair and he begged me to tell him the truth . Never saw either of them again but so miss her, immoral and dishonest as she was.
