Snap! I had an amazing childhood.

Boxofsockss · 07/11/2022 04:17

I miss not having any real worries or responsibilities. Being care free. Not having technology! And actually being able to explore. (I was a 90s kid too!).

My mum

Trez1510 · 07/11/2022 04:22

I miss people being kind/courteous/respectful to each other.

I miss not swearing and the way I'd feel tremendous guilt if I even thought something bad or nasty. I always see the worst in the situation and expect people are being insincere or trying to trick me now and it's exhausting.

Allmyarseandpeggymartin · 07/11/2022 04:35

I miss not having to think about adult stuff like menu planning or organising Christmas - you just go along with the flow when you’re a kid.

Plus back then the future was full of possibles - where would I go to uni? What job would I do? Would I have children? Who would I marry? Most big life decisions are made now.

Christmasiscomingthe · 07/11/2022 04:38

I miss not feeling embarrassed to say nothing. I was incredibly shy and just wouldn't talk, now I fill every silence with chatter and I hate it. Its so embarrassing but i can't stop.

I miss my nan and my Relationship with my parents and siblings is different now.

I miss my house and Playing. I'm a sahm I should be playing with my kids everyday but instead I'm up feeling guilty about not doing it every night and cleaning the endless mess instead.

kateandme · 07/11/2022 04:43

I was thinking this when I saw the infants literally skipping on the school run.
to be the child again and all that comes with it

sashh · 07/11/2022 04:47

Not a thing.

garlictwist · 07/11/2022 04:56

I had a nice childhood but it's so much better being an adult. You can eat what you want, sleep when you want, make your own decisions. As a child you have no agency and just have to do what everyone tells you.

KangarooKenny · 07/11/2022 07:25

I miss not having my mum to help me with my children, to be part of their lives.

MrsHughesPinny · 07/11/2022 07:37

I mostly miss that clean slate feeling. That your whole life is ahead of you and full of possibilities. I have so many regrets now.

❤️ so sorry op xx

ilovebagpuss · 07/11/2022 07:45

All the possibilities and choices, I honestly feel at the moment in time my life has minimal choices. Not in a bad way, I can see its just family life and stage in time.
But I miss that aspect.
Also my mum and being mothered generally and her seeing my girls grow up.

Underanothersky · 07/11/2022 07:46

Nothing at all. My childhood and adolescence were horrendous.

carefulcalculator · 07/11/2022 07:47

I miss not having to watch climate change happening Sad
