The coffee table in the living room is the worst thing we've ever bought

DH cleared it this morning after I nagged him and it's already back to this between him and ds (10)

Other favourites of theirs:
The 3rd stair
The lesser used settee
The kitchen radiator

AIBU to start bin bagging their shit??

Yanbu.
I can't talk though - my whole house is a dumping ground. I have an inability to see a clear surface and not put something on it.

I drive myself insane so god only knows how fucking irritating it must be to everyone else!

I've been to make a cuppa and ds has added a pair of bloody socks

It's like that t-towel over a tray of objects game 🙈

Can you dump it all in a big basket? Give them fair warning that this is the new system and you take 0 responsibility for breakages and damages as you sweep off the table / step etc

We have a dumping chair in the kitchen. I made the rule if its on the chair on a Sunday it goes in the bin. Miraculously it stays pretty clear of clutter.

Prime dumping areas in our house:

The bench as you come into the house
The worktop as you go in the kitchen
A fold up seat at DH side of the bed
The fucking dining table

I clear these spaces, they dump stuff there. An endless cycle. Bag it all up and bin it OP, then report back as to how successful this was in stopping this infuriating behaviour.
