Name Changing

Why can I not name change for a post? I see so many posts start with 'name change for this one' and now I want to to ask a Q and it says I can only use current or an old username!

You need to change your name on settings then change on the post.

as you can only use names you’ve had before

Once you’ve done it once you can then use that UN again if you want, as it’s stored as a name you’ve used in the past
