Neutrodol

PeloFondo · 05/11/2022 16:46

Reed diffuser
Febreze small spaces sure freshener
I don't have a window so make sure the fan is run often

catfunk · 05/11/2022 16:48

Window open a crack all the time, wash towels and shower curtain regularly, and clean thoroughly twice a week.

I find blokes towels and shower curtains can smell a bit like wet dog

catfunk · 05/11/2022 16:49

Also the method eucalyptus and mint spray smells lovely

Sciurus83 · 05/11/2022 16:54

Please don't put Zoflora in the toilet, it is highly toxic to aquatic animals (there is a big sign on the back of the bottle saying so). Unfortunately we are seeing an increase in raw sewage being pumped into rivers, that Zoflora can end up there and it's not good.

Babdoc · 05/11/2022 16:56

Window open regularly, extractor fan on when using loo or showering, regularly clean loo, basin etc. Have pleasant smelling bar of soap open on basin.
I am heaving at the thought of all those ghastly Febreze, Neutradol or motion sensor chemical sprays suggested upthread. Quite apart from the toxic chemicals involved, they all smell worse than the original problem!

PeloFondo · 05/11/2022 16:58

Oh yes and I use the method daily shower spray, passion fruit
This is the febreze one, it's not a heavy scent

A nice bar of soap and plenty of fresh air

reigatecastle · 05/11/2022 17:02

Nothing, just keep the window open a crack.

Lcb123 · 05/11/2022 17:04

Just window open and clean regularly - don’t like using chemicals or disinfect. Our toilet is seperate from bathroom which helps!

Chocolatefreak · 05/11/2022 17:29

Febreze and any other air fresheners have been linked to endocrine disruption. None of these chemicals are necessary. Just clean your loo with a simple cleaner once or twice a week and open the window if someone does a smelly shit.

justasking111 · 05/11/2022 23:14

Many chemicals set off my asthma whether it's plugin, candles or sprays. I'm okay with reed diffuser types though

Purpleberet · 05/11/2022 23:23

People are obsessed with zoflora it needs to stop 🤮 So many cleaning products it’s terrible for the environment! I’m not sure what the answer is. We have a reed diffuser but that’s probably not eco friendly either

LondonLovie · 05/11/2022 23:33

AESOP post poo drops. But there are some cheaper ones available online

FlissyPaps · 05/11/2022 23:37

Windows open during the day.

No bath mats or rugs. (I find they leave a damp smell when wet and even worse the ones round the toilet stink)

Toilet seat down, never left up when not in use.

Have an extractor fan or dehumidifier.

Everything kept clean.

I have a basket next to the bath where I keep my bath bombs and soaps from Lush that keep it smelling amazing.

RewildingAmbridge · 05/11/2022 23:39

We use nice bar soap and I clean the toilet daily. Bathroom doesn't smell of much other than soap. I do also like the method mint and eucalyptus spray , it's fresh without being overpowering

VikingLady · 05/11/2022 23:41

Honestly, I think the only thing that would help my bathroom would be sending DH to poo in the yard instead.

TheSausageKingofChicago · 05/11/2022 23:52

What’s making your bathroom smell bad? Tackling that is the answer. We keep the window open and give it a proper clean once a week. That’s enough- it doesn’t smell bad or of air freshener or products particularly

JoelyJoe · 05/11/2022 23:53

"Neat" sage & mint bathroom cleaner (www.neatclean.com). Smells gorgeous, and great Eco credentials too...

😂

My shower has a glass partition rather than shower curtains. I’ve found that’s really helped remove any damp smell.

Febreze Heavy Duty discreetly on hand for any self conscious guests.

I don't have a window it doesn't smell bad id just like it to smell like a nice spa I have bought some diffusers but I find some a waste of money as it's not a strong smell even when I put the sticks upside down

I'm really picky with diffusers and the beauty pie clean house one is strong, also like the botanical candle company ones Smile

MsChatterbox · 06/11/2022 05:11

The Carex cherry on top hand soap is amazing and smells lovely. The smell is so strong whenever I wash my hands the whole bathroom smells of it. So now I clean the sink with it too in the morning!
