I used to really like them. I know the lead singer had a reputation of being a bit, ahem, pleased with himself but I still thought they were great.

I loved the song about the girl with "the golden touch" and it brings back great memories from a great time in my life.

Their new song has been released and I only stumbled across it by chance, I really like it.

Andy Burrows did a collaboration with Tom Smith of Editors and they released a couple of albums, one being a Christmassy one! I really liked it (helps that I met them a couple of times while they were promoting it 😂). Oh and I won a Smith & Burrows mug in a raffle at one of their gigs 😂

Oh you are lucky to have met them. I absolutely love that Christmas album and listen to it all year round!

We saw them support the Manics and they were dire.

Yes they really were shite.

The epitome of indie landfill.

Golden touch was a banger though.

Completely agree, I think Johnny Borrell’s relationship with Kirsten Dunst gave them way more recognition than they deserved.

Been backstage at their show, meh.

Somewhere else still sounds fantastic.

Terrible band. Awful news

Failed Libertine writes decades of landfill garage rock, with occasionally catchy tunes that grab the attention of folk who have a Peloton, a Laithwaites delivery every week, and a fluffy ‘poo, and think they’re living life as we all should.

Ghastly, middling music for a commensurate audience.

there are thousands of exciting bands and great new things happening in music especially in hip hop in the US, and yet we’re doomed at festivals to have these characters crop up again because it makes middle aged mums remember the daring days of taking the tube to Shoreditch or Dalston

Oh God, I think I'm being pigeonholed as a bland Middle aged mum although my poos are not particularly fluffy? Grin

I liked Golden Touch, so shoot me down. I like lots of stuff for example last night I went through all of Bryan Adam's Reckless. Singing my heart out like a loon around the lounge. This progressed to the whole of Viagra Boy's Shrimp Sessions, a Sleaford Mods rabbit hole, an hour or so of Black MIDI and then at about 4AM I wound down with Mozart. Can't remember when Razorlight actually popped up.
