I used to be really close with my mum until she got a new bf and moved him in, now I don't go round unless my DC ask which they don't so we have not been for at least 3 months but seen her at the childrens birthdays.

Aibu not to buy for the adults for Christmas meaning DM and her BF! I will still buy for the 3 DC or should I just buy something small like a tin of biscuits, wine etc?

Theres been a lot of he said she said in terms of my DM's bf towards me so my DH wouldn't be happy with me buying something hence wanting others opinions.

I can't imagine not buying for my mother at Christmas. It's only one or two people. She will no doubt be buying for your family. Won't it feel awkward not to reciprocate? You don't have to do anything grand. Of course it's up to you. Maybe a discussion so your mother knows you're just buying for the kids would be best, if that's what you go with?

I am only getting tiny trinkets for adults this Christmas as I am skint as anything. I wouldn't be bothered if I didn't get anything. Then again I adore halloween and think Christmas is a circus and can do one!
