What to expect , and how soon do symptoms go?

Hi I started on 50mg. At first the side affects for me were horrible I had shivers and sick feeling a lot, I couldn't sleep felt on edge. Im now on 100mg and feel so much better. I feel like a different person when I increased my does the side affects were not as bad. Definitely worth taking its really helped me. Also not everyone gets side affects.

Do you mean sertraline?

I was fine going in it, it was the withdrawal symptoms for me coming off it that were horrific but I was on it for years

No side effects fir me. If I found out that it shortened my life expectancy by a couple of years, I'd still take it. It's helped me so much.

It’s life changing for me. I had one sleepless night and a few days of mild nausea. Now I never, ever have a sleepless night. The only symptom that’s endured for a year weirdly is jaw clenching/ teeth grinding, no idea why that’s a thing but I can cope with it!

catastrophic diarrhoea with no warning for 4 days.

Gave me diarrhoea every day I was on it after meals. Did help with symptoms but wasn’t worth it.

husband is now on it and has zero sex drive and struggles to climax. But do help his depressive symptoms.

Mild nausea and some whacky dreams but felt better within 2 or 3 weeks and it turned my life around. Good luck and hope you feel better soon.

Following as My 14 Yr old dd has just started taking it. She has had a low dose 12.5mg, then 25mg and now 50mg for 2 weeks and 2 days in total. Slight reduction in anxiety but tests it. Some huge mood swings.

Gave me long lasting urinary problems I'll never touch an ssri again
