Cooking in bulk

I’ve never understood how cooking in bulk saves money. I mean I realise that your have the oven on less, but apart from that?

I am no cook. I can manage a lasagne and stew. I can do a spag bol and a curry out of a jar from Aldi.

But apart from my stress being less if I didn’t have to cook every day, I really need to save money! So how do I successfully cook in bulk?

And how do I make sure I don’t poison everyone! Do you have to defrost before you reheat? Or reheat from frozen.

AIBU to ask for tips and not knowing how this “cook in bulk and save money” actually works?
