New bed & mattress not fitting...pics!

Just bought a new double bed frame & mattress from Harry Corry. Bed was self assembled and the mattress was boxed so it takes 48 hours to fully fill out.

Put it all together yesterday and the finished result is...well disappointing.

What do you think? How likely is it that they will change/refund? Or aibu? It doesn't look like it's going to 'grow' any more. There's a gap the whole way around and the pillows keep sliding through the back of the headboard.

This was a big outlay for me and I spent ayes choosing. I'm SO disappointed. I feel like they sold me the wrong mattress for this bed frame.

I think it looks like the wrong mattress top OP.

I’d ask for a replacement- you can’t have that big gap at the back.

Good grief, that doesn't fit well at all! I definitely wouldn't be happy with that, because like you're already experiencing, the pillows are constantly going to be falling behind the mattress. What's the return policy?

Looked at returns policy and it states that it must be in original packaging!!! It came in a box then wrapped in plastic that had to be removed for it to 'grow'. Box gone to the tip already.

Headboard can't be lowered.

That’s fine if they gave you the right mattress and you just changed your mind, but they can’t expect you to abide by that when the mattress is the wrong size. How would you have known the size when it was still wrapped?

I would be on the phone first thing making a nuisance of myself and not going away.

Is the bed base not very close to the floor? Is there no way to fit it higher so it’s against the headboard? Also, is there no mattreds topper? That would close the gap between the mattress and the headboard. It will still look weird from the side though.

The bed is close to the floor but that's the way its supposed to be (although it seems lower here than it did with display model in shop).

I double checked if headboard can be lowered but it can't.

I will be going into the shop tomor!!!

Def need a refund. I would post the complaint on insta and Facebook. See how quickly they respond.
