to HATE it when DP comes in and asks me questions when I am quite clearly snigggering at MN posts?

I hate this - he drives me crazy!

He does it all the time, even when it's NOT MN...

He gets one word answers cos I'm busy and then he sulks.

AIBU???

Should I be expected to tear myself away and give him my undivided?

Or should I tell him to BOGGOFFF?

of course not!

bogie · 28/01/2008 20:57

tell him to bogoff

scatterbrain · 28/01/2008 20:57

Ahhhh - he'd probably missing the cat or something !! Mine does the same though !! But hates it when I ask him what he's laughinmg at !!
Give him some fish !

bonkerz · 28/01/2008 21:01

whats even worse is when you are clearly reading MN posts and dh is in the background talking about completely unrelated and boring stuff. When i dont answer him my DH gets annoyed and usually asks am i not interested in news/politics etc and my usual reply is unless its on MN i dont care! LMAO

Sycamoretree · 28/01/2008 21:06

Ha ha, this thread is hilarious. My DH says he is a MN widow. He just made me sit and watch at least first 10 mins of a film he got out cos there is nothing on TV and I said I would watch 10 mins but if I didn't like it, I was going back on MN - and here I am! He's always trying to sneak a peak at what I'm writing and I tell him go away - I'm talking about you and it's private between me and a bunch of women I have never met!

pankhurst · 28/01/2008 21:08

i AM sniggering now - scatterbrain you are a funny little thing! (we are on a frozen fish thread in Good Housekeeping and it's gone a bit pearshaped!)

he does it all the time though - it's like if it;s not about him, it's not important... like a toddler.

it drives me crazy!

DP hates me being on Mumsnet and sulks like a baby until I come off it.

scatterbrain · 28/01/2008 21:32

Why Thank you !!! That's the nicest thing anyone's said to me for ages !!

pankhurst · 28/01/2008 21:39

DP has just called it 'wifesnet'.

That's how cross he is that I'm on it and snortling.

OP posts:
Desiderata · 28/01/2008 21:41

How the fuck can a frozen fish thread go pear shaped?

amytheearwaxbanisher · 28/01/2008 21:44

do what i did buy him an xbox

staryeyed · 28/01/2008 21:46

My dp just was saying that I'm addicted and next Ill be typing as we're... uhum (clears throat) doing the deed

pankhurst · 28/01/2008 21:49

you mean you don't already?

bit slack that.

kindersurprise · 28/01/2008 21:51

DH gets all grumpy at me being on MN too much. FGS, I used to read load all the time. Now I ignore him in favour of MN. What is the big difference?

staryeyed · 28/01/2008 21:57

lol pankhurst

[repeats to self] Must climb the social ladder to the MN inner circle.

Sycamoretree · 28/01/2008 21:58

Pankhurst - your Fish thread is the most surreal thing I've ever encountered on MN. Sorry to drag it onto this thread but it was just too tempting not to sneak over and take a look. Seriously, I might have to cut it and keep in my virtual scrapbook

pankhurst · 28/01/2008 22:07

it wasn't my fault - things just went from bad to worse and that desiderata from this thread didn't help matters.

now rustybear is googling lime...

scatterbrain · 28/01/2008 22:09

Sorry - it was my fault wasn't it ???

Sycamoretree · 28/01/2008 22:12

I think, Scatterbrain, as an impartial observer, it most definitely was. Maybe it was the funky tuna you ate for your tea..

pankhurst · 28/01/2008 22:12

you certainly played a pivotal role...naughty little scatterbee!

scatterbrain · 28/01/2008 22:13

Oh dear - I am deeply ashamed - I am slinking off to bed now - humbly, sadly, sorrowfully

Sycamoretree · 28/01/2008 22:17

Nightnight Scatterbrain, and night night Pankhurst. I'm off to play the guess what time DS will wake tonight game with DH - once he has finished watching the film he is STILL watching that "forced" me back onto MN this evening .

ROFL, just read the fish thread. That is so funny. Best thread hijack I have seen. at WMMC's fishy looking trout.
