PLEASE NO SCHOOLING ON VEGANISM BEFORE I BEGIN.
I'm so fcked off.
I've noticed that the supermarket thighs now include an added bonus. Some fucking spine/rib/ god knows what bone that never existed before.

It disintegrates in curries, its tiny little bits end up everywhere. It's meant I can't even give chicken curry to my DD now as there's a million bones.

I have to pick out every tiny bit while I eat and its so fucking endless and annoying

And to top it all off. The pack weights are the same yet having to now crop this shit out before cooking amounts to about 25% of the weight I bought.

The Asda ones had this. And now Lidl too. I've just wanted to make some grilled chicken thighs and salad and I've had to chop this shit to peices. And now the thighs are the size of jaffa cakes.

I dont know what my aibu is but here's a pic of this shit.

A previous poster saying we’re turning into a third world country because a 1kg bag of £2.60 (give or take) chicken has some backbone in it. Really???

PBSam · 01/11/2022 06:39

Chickens didn't have spines before brexit either.

Could this be to do with the bird flu epidemic? All bird farmers are having to keep their birds in now, which is causing huge problems and forcing prices up. Perhaps the butchery is being done on the cheap to save money?

That’s not coming into force until next Monday.
