Came down with in the old world would be a ‘cold like symptom’ on Saturday - scratchy throat, slightly elevated body temperature, tired, achy - didn’t occur to test, woke up today to feeling slightly better however had a sudden dizzy spell- had just one test leftover so tested and I’m positive- feel slightly worried mainly because I know it’s Covid, but are people still testing?

Me too.

This.

We still test as our youngest is very vulnerable.

We’re finding people are much more lax with being around others when they’re ill post-covid. Folks used to be really considerate with us because of DD4 and give us a heads up of coughs, colds and bugs so we can avoid. Many people don’t now because “life must go on” and as a result DD has been in hospital more this year than any other.

Tbh I’ve never tested. If I’m very ill with flu for instance I use basic common sense (and probably wouldn’t feel up to going out any way). We’ve never had to test for flu (which is just as infectious) so why test for covid?
Its time now to start living with covid which means using common sense.

Routinely, no. When I had an especially “bad” cold with shivering and dizziness then yes and it was covid (but not till the second test 2 days later).
I would be fine with a parent doing the school run with covid, but I would expect the kid to have had a negative test and the parent to be mask wearing.
