3 days late and negative tests

Hello, looking for some reassurance.
I had my son 5 months ago. I’ve had 4 periods since then and they’ve been regular.
This month I’ve had a little bit of red blood the day before my period was due, and then some brown discharge or old blood the day my period was due. It then turned like a thick pale yellow discharge and now nothing.
I’ve had stomach cramps since it was due and my husband says I’ve been moody.
I’ve done 4 pregnancy tests and all were negative.
My son is teething (already has 2 teeth!) and has been a nightmare this week, poor thing. So I think this has stressed me out.
Not sure whether my body is just getting back to normal now after pregnancy, I mean it’s only been 5 months.

I don’t want to be pregnant again so soon and not having a period is stressing me out more 👎

Has anyone had anything similar? Thanks in advance 😊

Should mention that we’ve used condoms too so being pregnant would be really unlucky!

It's almost certainly your body just getting back to normal. Are you using any other contraception? Anything hormonal?

Thank you for replying.
We did use condoms. I have an appointment on 10th for the coil.. been waiting on a waiting list for ages lol

You’re right it could be all the pregnancy hormones going now and everything getting back to pre pregnant levels.. not sure how quickly that happens after birth..

For now the 4 negative pregnancy tests are your best answer.

Weird periods can happen in early pregnancy and being concerned enough to take a test is totally legit but modern tests are really sensitive; so unless they came from the pound shop 5 years ago (like I have at the back of my knicker drawer) I think you can relax.

Thank you howdoesatoastermaketoast.

You’re right.

I guess I am a little worried about being pregnant as my first pregnancy was a miscarriage and that didn’t show up for ages..that’s what I’m worried about I think.. but my husband did point out to me that we were debating whether some of the tests then had faint lines before it turned positive so I’m sure I’m just worrying for no reason.
