To ask: when will there be good news?

Everything in the world seems to be going to absolute hell.

On an existential level, I think I've finally accepted that we're not going to prevent catastrophic climate change and environmental breakdown.

But generally, everything seems to be awful. I look at my kids and just think what was I doing bringing you into this mess?

I know I sound overly dramatic but it all feels so unspeakably awful. And it's 22 degrees outside!

It is hard, really hard and climate crisis is the worst bit as so huge, I feel the same esp when the weather is all wrong. Think you have to take each day as it comes and try not to go too deep into the mire, easier said than done I know.
