Different kinds of love

So hear me out..

I love someone but he's so bad for me. It took me a long time to cut the tie but I did and I had a year on my own. Now I've met someone and I’m so happy. He's funny kind, I really like him. Our sex is immense. My feelings for him are different though. I don't doubt them, they're just calmer. Not so intense. Is that normal?

AIBU - not normal, you don't like him

IANBU - different love for different partners is normal, your feelings are real, just different.

Great sex and fuzzy feelings, what's not to like?

@andmostofallyouletyourselfdown

It's not that I don't like it, I do. I worry that I’m cheating him out of something as it feels so different.

My ex was an alcoholic and I felt very responsible for him. Almost maternal in the end. Making sure he was eating, doing washing, etc.

But it was such an overwhelming love. This is calm, I honestly get excited about him but worry I’m cheating him out of better feelings if you can understand what I meant..

Absolutely. You can't feel the same for each person you have a relationship with because they are different people. Some are crazy can't eat/can't sleep heart racing, some are deep, meaningful, soulful, some are in between. Some are nice but you could take it or leave it.
Love can feel different, but that dues t make it less real.
