Call back two months after operation... AIBU to panic?

I know no-one on here can give me any answers, but I'm panicking and thinking the worst.

A couple of months ago my husband had emergency (but fairly minor) surgery. This week he got an appointment out of the blue for a CT scan. When he queried it yesterday, the doctor asked to see him in hospital this morning. She said that post operation tests had shown abnormal cells and they needed to follow this up to find out the reason why. Scan is in a couple of weeks.

She said it could range from 'just a blip' to cancer somewhere in his body. Naturally, I'm focusing on the latter!

Has this happened to anyone else?

Sorry I have no words of wisdom for you but just wanted to send you positive thoughts. Two weeks is a long time to wait when you're worried!
I hope it's just a blip 🤞🏻

Thank you @rainbowstardrops . We are lucky enough to have private health care through work and he has asked if this would speed things up. She said it would be best if he stayed in the NHS system in case it is something serious, which doesn't help my thoughts.

Oh how frustrating! Hopefully it's a positive sign if they're not rushing him in sooner?

Hope so @rainbowstardrops . I'm still not sure why it's taken two months for them to notice something. And he didn't ask 🙄

@rainbowstardrops We got to talk to a doctor yesterday and he confirmed an aggressive form of non-hodgkins lymphoma. Will know more when he has scan next week, but i'm beyond devastated.
