I’m selling an item on Facebook Market Place, a DIY tool, I listed it as buyer to collect or could deliver locally if required.
Someone has messaged me asking if it’s still for sale. Yes it is. He says ok offers the asking price and I accept. I then get this message “I am away from home. I arrange a FedEx courier to collect from you, the driver will pay you on pick up.” I say ok but no cash no item. He then asks for my address and email
he then says there is is insurance to pay on the envelope, but not to worry he will add it to the payment of the item.
By this time Red flags are flying all over the place and my spidey senses are in overdrive. I tell him I’m not prepared to go any further with the transaction.
He tried to reassure me it’s all above board but I told him I’m not selling it. He says OK and leaves the chat.
Im worried now, he’s got my name address and email address.
