Preparing to be flamed I don't care. During 2020/21 I remember many MNers asking for more restrictions , longer lockdowns , furlough. Half a billion pounds was printed, not many discussed how it was going to have to be paid back. Of course we couldn't have foreseen Ukraine but it must make simple sense that printing money would cause inflation. The BOE have to raise rates so the national debt costs more to service.
People are now complaining but surely most knew it was going to be very painful economically?
