My new MIL is odd to say the least but I'm intrigued by everyone's general opinion on this topic. We got married 2 years ago, she arrived from overseas (shs was very put out by this!) Refused to stay in the same venue as all the other guests and left 8am day after wedding .. you get the picture. Anyway, she didn't give us a gift per say, what she did do, was walk up to me around 11pm, after not speaking to me all day, and press something into my hand, saying "this is just for you" I smiled and said, thank you. Fast forward a couple of days and I discover its the cheapest pocket mirror you could find. Now, she's big into superstitions so I'm just wondering am I totally off the mark things she's being odd or what?
