I am a very stressful person, I have a few things going on in life at the moment, nothing big or major but they are adding to my stress. Can't seem to properly unwind and relax even though I have tried several things. I feel the stress is starting to take its toll on my health. What do people do to de stress? Please share your tips or tricks Flowers

Yoga!!
Just recently started Beginners Yoga. I can breath so much easier after class. I feel my whole chest expands and I can breath with ease. I didn’t even know my chest was tight!!
Yog releases tension from muscles I never knew I had.

also advise to get enough sleep and eat well 😊. (I don’t do as well as I would like In either).

Exercise... even if it's just finding 20 mins for a brisk walk.

Yoga - especially Yin style yoga

Seeing a counsellor and GP. The counsellor has given me some good techniques for when I feel anxious. GP prescribed medication for anxiety which has helped.

Reduce caffeine intake

Good sleep hygiene (no screens before bed etc)

Making some quality time for yourself

In my case I started a new (more stressful job) a few months ago. I looked at ways I could reduce the amount of mental and domestic load, which has helped. e.g. getting a cleaner, online shopping delivery, reviewing the split of tasks between DP and I to make sure it was fairly split. Has helped a lot.

Listen to Nigel Slater read out his recipes. Lists of ingredients in his voice are so soothing. .
