This is being out isn't it? 40 years old.
Out of home at least 5 days a week either after work for a game of pool or two and/or two pints or around 9pm for pool/cards in the pub till 11pm ish.
Pointed out I rarely get to go out as got the kids... Got told it isn't going out as its only for a little while. Grrrr

Going out for a little while is still going out - he’s taking the piss. If you said “I’m not going out, but I’m just off to the pub for 2 hours, see you later” would he think you weren’t going out?
He’s decided he has the right to stay out almost every night so he doesn’t have to look after the kids or do anything in the house. But he’s trying to make you believe he doesn’t really go out. It’s very selfish.

If he's not at home or working, he's out!

If he isn't at home or work then he is out. If its none of those what does he call it? Is he claiming buying others pints isnt really spending money its returning favours?

Its time to set some boundaries OP. Even if you don't go out but just want a relaxing bath then he needs to be around to do all the normal evening stuff. Be aware though, it might be the beginning of the end for your relationship as your eyes are slowly being opened.
