To find this a bit off?

A few months back I mentioned to a friend that we should have a meal at a place that had recently had quite an extensive make over. I kept seeing local people I know posting photos there, looked really nice.

She told me in no uncertain terms she would not be going there and made pretty snobby comments about it and laughed. I went with a different friend and had a great time.

We’re now arranging another meal and snobby friend said we should go to that restaurant. I feel a bit 😐 she made me feel a bit shit for suggesting it at the time and now it’s ok to go there all of a sudden?

YANBU. But if you can’t even say to her that that’s the place she was scathing about then it’s not much of a friendship.

Ask her what's made her change her mind? Do you really want to continue to be friends with her?

With friends like that.. :-(

Just say oh I’ve been there a couple of times, let’s try somewhere different.

Maybe she thought over her response to your earlier suggestion, realised she was tactless and rude and wants to put it right?
