to wonder why pmt is necessary in anyone's life?

I mean....I can understand the reason for having periods...that's easy...so we can make babies, but PMT?? WTF is it all about?

It's like a black sock in the washing machine of life. It's guaranteed to make anything white and shiny turn nasty and grey at the drop of a hat (a bit likle most of my undercrackers, but that's a different story).

And what was it ever for? If we look back to the cavemen, for example, was it meant to keep everyone away from us, so that when we started bleeding, we were isolated from the rest of the tribe, so the sabre tooth tigers just got a meal for one, instead of a family bucket meal? An unhappy meal, I guess you could call it.

Or was it to keep people away so we could bleed in private and not disturb anyone with our bodily functions? But then I'd imagine that the average cave woman with PMT would disturb everyone with or without the benefit of bodily funcitons anyway...I know I can.

Or was it so we could singlehandedly fight off the sabre tooth tigers BEFORE the bleeding began, thus keeping the tribe safe and expending our agression in a controlled way...rather than allowing us to beat our hairy a**sed husbands to death with a big bone!

And if anyone wants to tell me IABU, take care. Women have been cleared of murder because of PMS....and I might find out where you live!!!!

oh dear, you have PMT then!!!

PMSL at you cave-woman rant!

and not laughing at you, before you chase me with an axe, agreeing with you WHOLE HEARTEDLY[WINK]

you are most definately NOT being unreasonable.......

Thank you mellowma for the link... I had gone orf to find out what it was, but appreciate the link very much. And I don't think I could afford to buy enough to damage anyone, but I'd have a very good go.

And psychomum5 for the big grin...feel marginally better now.

PMS has been building up in me for days, so decided to vent my spleen here, rather than in the school playground tomorrow morning. DD & her little friends all look better with their heads on iykwim!

don't feel bad at spleen venting....I do so regularly, altho not on here as often as I should as I rant so quickly my words come to fast to type and so fail to make sense.

and FWIW, my chilren are used to my PMT now, and they even still have all their heads!!

DH on the other hand, threatens to move out for one week a month, which is increasingly looking likely as DD1 now joins me with the periods and PMT( that she is that old already!), and DD2 is rapidly catching us up on the PMT angst for the week......

I think that when DD3 is also PMTish too, DH and DS's will either be gone, or headless!

squilly · 27/01/2008 14:26

LOL!!!!!Like the thought of your brood joining you in a pmt riot, chasing DH out of home & hearth!

I knew I should have had more than 1 kid but never saw a strong enough reason for it b4.

My DH has got 9 years max before dd joins me. And I think she will be strong in the force for such a little one.

Oh god. Things are getting worse. I'm starting to channel Star Wars/Jedi speak and that's never good!

Oh and if you hear anything in the news about a very slow shop assistant from Sainsbury's in Sheffield being found headless in a brook at the back of the building, I wasn't there...I was posting on Mumsnet...capiche???

gotcha

and I think any and all of MN should vouch for any and all other MNers when we do something during PMT fog.....we can ALL be each others alibi's.

dreaming of the possibilities of what I can get away with while MN vouches for me.....

You need to ask the Naked Scientists!!

squilly · 27/01/2008 14:59

oh no RubberDuck. Another website to keep me away from my ironing. I may kiss you...which considering my homicidal tendencies is a couple of letters away from what I would usually say at this time of the month!.

I don't know whether to post a new hypothesis (ie the cavegirl thing) or just beg someone to relieve me of my ignorance and tell me wtf it's all about. Alfie.
