Good things about humans.

Sometimes I despair of our species...climate change, crocs, american chocolate, the Tory party.... It makes me feel depressed.

But I was thinking that one good thing about us , is our ability to appreciate beauty. It can be a sunset, human body or a work of art. Do animals appreciate beauty too or is it unique to our species?

I look at the beautiful autumn leaves on the way to work and wonder why we are in such a mess as a species.

Whenever I’m feeling like this and need a happy cry I go onto Reddit and go onto the happycryingdads sub and watch the videos on there. I bawl every time and it gives me the glowy warm feeling I need.

I really don’t get this hate humans have for other humans. I love people! I love their kindness and spirit and generosity. I rarely come across someone I dislike. Humans are amazing.

But I agree with you on the crocs. Hideous things.

Community too. We have a fantastic tight knit community here

I do love people but I also hate what we do to other people and the planet collectively.

I felt pretty down about humanity as a whole, for a very long time, however I make a conscious effort to remind myself of good things, and people.

Since having my son especially. I grew up with no kindness around me, so I feel extra grateful that people love on me and my babies.

If you want to see change, maybe see if you can bring it about?

I am not a fan of people at all. But I try to surround myself with people who give me some faith in humanity.

I do try to be a good human but fail regularly!

I like crocs. Crocs and socks may not be stylish but they are very good after a swim in the sea. I will be going next Tuesday again.

Humans are very funny.

Infrastructure, food chains and agriculture, technology... loads of things are created by other people

Humans are flawed sure, an amazing mash of stupidity and genius... but we do some awesome things together

Providing we don't end it all with nukes

I really like the way trained humans risk their lives to rescue other humans, or ordinary humans go out of their way to help others in times of crisis, in fires and floods.
