So DS 7 birthday has rolled around again and I'm woefully unprepared. DS4 destroyed all of his birthday Lego last weekend so need to re order some stuff or something but I've been up to my neck in work and barely touching base all week so am a bit stuck on what to do for his party later on in terms of favours.
Softplay party for him and his 8 school mates, food all sorted by venue. Can I get away with individual cookies for each child from a naice bakery?! Haven't got much time at all today so needs to be quick. Have access to all of the usual high street shops and supermarkets.

Just go to Tesco or any other supermarket. They have party bags, plastic tat and give them a Freddo and a slice of cake each. Done

A sharing bag of haribo and a slice of birthday cake always goes down well with the kids

flowngo · 14/10/2022 11:00

I really want to stay away from plastic crap so a big share bag of Haribo is good I think

Venue doesn't allow cake to be divvied out there but could I get some cupcakes perhaps so it's easier to take in hand?

If Lego is his big thing then a little packet of Lego mini figures for each child as a party bag?

otherwise Tesco, pack of party bags, pack of party bag favours, insert latter into former, job done.

don’t bother with posh cookies, if cookies is what you want then just grab a couple of packs from Tesco with the party favours. But they’ll be just as happy with birthday cake in a napkin.

Lego mini figures is a great idea!! Thanks, off to Tesco to see what I can find

Those huge cookies you get from supermarket bakeries, 5 in a bag. Would be perfect to share out.

Thanks all, I got some Minecraft Lego for him and some pots of slime and mix bag of swizzles for the guests 👍🏼

I'd much prefer this than party bag crap.

My son got a kazoo in one recently. A fucking kazoo.

flowngo · 14/10/2022 13:08

Yeah a kazoo is not the one
