I’ll start… dogs 😬 Never goes down well & I think if I owned one I’d probably grow to love it but in my eyes they just smell and dribble and are annoying. How about you?!

Ed Sheeran

Yes!

He’s just this weasel looking dude who steals other peoples songs and uses them in a really bland manner. Also thinks he’s edgy.

Don’t get why he’s so popular.

ChocolateCakeYum · 17/10/2022 10:00

Strictly - Why is everyone on it so shouty all the time.

I’m a Celeb - Mostly I just hate Ant and Dec. Mostly Ant tho.

Downton Abbey - it’s boring!

Tea - Tastes like it looks: disappointing.

Gillian Anderson - I like XFiles, I like The Fall but she’s just another middle distance botherer and she whispers all her lines nowadays and it’s annoying.

The Royal Family - expensive and need abolishing.

Public mourning - performative nonsense.

Cake! Have never liked it and everyone thinks I am a weirdo haha. My daughter who loves cake happily eats my portion of cake, and now announces she will have my slice before I have even been offered any.

@xogossipgirlxo
All clothes shops seem to have awful stock.. drab colours, loose, nothing 'fits'.. guess I'm just old. I don't want jumble sale chic.

@mamabear715 yep and it’s getting really expensive too. Acrylic jumper for 60 quid. I never was a big fan of buying second hand, but I’m starting to change my mind about vinted

mamabear715 · 17/10/2022 13:16

£60, @xogossipgirlxo - wow.. I end up buying everything in sales that looks reasonable, & putting them away until I need them, unlike my sis who waits until she's desperate & then says there's nothing in the shops (or online) that she likes..
I'll pay up to about £20 for a jumper or jeans, then wear them to death! I don't think I could do Vinted, tbh.. am such a weird shape.. ;-)
(Think Granny Smith's..)

FirewomanSam · 17/10/2022 13:43

Oh and donuts!

I have a pretty sweet tooth, love cake and biscuits, and am generally the least fussy eater you’ll ever meet. But I don’t ‘get’ donuts. They’re just stodgy sweet bread, maybe with a nice topping or filling but that only lasts a few bites and then you’re back to a huge lump of bland doughy stodge again. I don’t understand why they’re meant to be so great!

Caiti19 · 17/10/2022 13:46

Dipping a pizza into a sauce. This became a thing when I wasn't looking, and now I am the weirdo for thinking it's weird.

@mamabear715 I probably should adopt your approach. I am like your sister. I wear clothes until they fall apart and when occasion comes, I don’t like anything and have nothing to wear

Yes to cryptic / attention seeking posts!

”I’m so lost, I just don’t know what decision to make…”

“At least I know the truth now…”

Almost as bad as wishing dead people happy birthday etc. or the self depreciating quotes about survival generally accompanied by black and white images of a woman crying.

ALongHardWinter · 17/10/2022 21:23

Having a massage. Just the mere thought of it makes me feel tense. Most people think I'm strange!

… Or humble bragging: “I just bought another Birkin bag, I couldn’t stop myself. I am so bad with money, lol.” Ugh. 😜

bringincrazyback · 18/10/2022 00:18

Social hugging. I don't really understand today's hug culture. It's probably my age, but to me hugging is for partners or in situations where emotion of some depth is called for.

Omg you are the first person I’ve heard say this besides me - I have the most ridiculous sweet tooth, I love cake, I love biscuits, I love sweets, I love chocolate. I also bloody LOVE bread. But a DOUGHNUT?! Get in the sea. No. Waste of calories.

ThatBliddyWoman · 18/10/2022 01:04

I agree with the pp about English food. Good at a lot of things but our food is not one of them. Drab, boring, unimaginative slop.

Grey everything. Practical it may be, but a home needs more than practicality IMO. I love a PPs description 'Like Home Bargains threw up in your living room' 🤣
