To think remote working is shit

I understand that lots of people like remote working for many reasons. However, AIBU to think it is shit? It's so hard when you start new places/teams and you never have a clue who anyone is or who to speak to about things.
I really feel that I'm missing out on some much with hybrid working and I worry for the younger graduates coming through right now.

you do need space for [an additional screen], its not something you can set up on the kitchen table between meals

I did for a while. You literally just plug it in. No set up required.

It still takes up space, though, doesn't it, whether it's plugged in or not.

I don't have children in the house, or noisy neighbours

Trouble is, I am hemmed in by wfh neighbours and when the weather is even slightly mild, their windows and bifold doors are open, of houses or garden office, and I am treated to their phone and work calls from both ends of my garden. So the wfh revolution has actually created noisy neighbours

I WFH full time and absolutely love it, no petty office politics, company I work for is great at encouraging inclusiveness and I feel part of a lovely team and can talk to anyone at any time, I feel so grateful to have my job, no more Sunday dread feeling, no rushing to get out of the house for a stressful commute, this type of working fits me perfectly and I’d never return to an office based job, even for a pay rise

But wouldn't it have been the same in an office? (Unless you had your own office)

We have a severely disabled child and pre lockdown dh was refused flexible working. He now works full time at home and this works so much better for us. It's probably kept our child at home instead of a residential placement.

I work hybrid, it's great, I'm with my team 3 days a week then 2 at home. Although I have a new start, so I'll be 5 days till Xmas.
Now I'm older, settled with a family, external commitments and a separate social life it suits us fine.
Neither DP or I are introverts, we both hate work socials.

I’m semi retired so this is my at home time in the garden which used to be peaceful because people worked in workplace offices rather than in back bedrooms or dining rooms

I love WFH! I don't think I could ever go back to an office.
