This is quite silly really. My dp is very good at cleaning after themselves. When they wash up they generally put all the mugs and cups upright. AIBU that I think this is madness?

When wet or dry?
Upside down to dry. Right way up in cupboard.

To dry so they will be wet mugs and cups upright in the drying rack

He’s not the only one who does that!

My kids dad does that as well as my mum and little sister. I just don’t understand it😂

Discovereads · 13/10/2022 12:58

That is odd. Did they grow up in a hot, dry country?

murasaki · 13/10/2022 13:05

Surely they don't dry that way? Down in the rack, up in the cupboard for me.

Either way up is a recipe for streaky cups, unless you are in a soft-water area.

The right way to do it is to put them upside down as each comes out of the sink and then to dry them with a towel and put them away straight away.

No sunny old England. None of their family does it like this.
