To ask if this is correct

I bought new batteries for my mobility and during the checkout I expected to go through the process of filling a form/asking questions related to whether I was buying them due to disability and therefore exempt from paying VAT on this item. It didn’t happen, so went ahead and purchased thinking I could claim VAT back. I messaged the seller and his reply is in the photo. Can anyone tell me if this is correct? It’s about £30. Not a huge sum but every little helps!

On the CareCo site they say

Please note: These batteries are not eligible for VAT relief. Mobility scooter batteries are only eligible for VAT relief if they are supplied and fitted when purchasing a mobility scooter or powerchair.

Thanks for taking the time to respond. I was just a bit wary because it was from Amazon. I did another google and got the same answer. Seems a bit unfair really. It’s a vital part of my scooter!
