My 3 year old bit into a conker

He definitely didn’t swallow any, he spat it out straight away, I’ve checked and there’s no bits missing. So nothing was ingested.

Is this an A&E job? This child is going to give me premature grey hairs!

Sorry to be rude

Carry on

My brother would regularly be found snacking on the contents of his nappy as a child and he lived, your conkering son will be fine 🙂

I remember doing this as a kid. It tasted awful but I suffered no ill effects.

no need to panic but your concern does you credit so don't be disheartened for asking. I once called nhs direct when my lo got into the sudocream.

Generally a lot of 'should not eat' plant material is based on if you eat too much of it you might get a horrible tummy ache type risk & Conkers are on on the more serious side of this category just one could cause a 3 year old to have an adverse reaction. But my 3 year old put it in his mouth then spit it out and is not showing any signs of being unwell, is not currently any cause for concern or medical intervention.

I just read a scary article which says it can cause paralysis. Hopefully that’s if it’s actually swallowed/eaten.

Oh come on. Stop flapping and be sensible. Paralysis isn't caused by just being in the same room as a conker is it? 🙄
