Am I pregnant or not

My period was due yesterday (usually have a 26 day cycle). Tested 3 days ago with first response and got a negative. Tested again this morning as period is a day late and got a faint line (picture attached).

Went out and got a clear blue and Tesco test (not early ones) and they show negative.

Anyone got any insight into if I’m pregnant or not? I’m confused!!

That's a definite positive, saw a second line straight away. 😊

It's so frustrating these early days isn't it, the pink dye ones are pretty good and if I remember rightly the clear blue ones need more HGC to show positive and Tesco ones are a bit naff so you might be!

HGC doubles every couple of days so maybe try again if period doesn't come as you might have ovulated a bit later than expected.

You can get false negatives but false positives are extremely rare.

I'm afraid only time is really going to tell, but if it were me I'd be taking that test as a positive and the others as false negatives.

FWIW, I tested completely negative when I was a day late to start my period and then positive a week later. I then took a digital test to confirm!

I do see a second line, but no one here can tell you for sure. Keep testing until you get a definitive answer :

Also, my first positive test (taken first thing in the morning) was a lot stronger than subsequent tests I took that day. In your case, timing might be the difference between getting a positive and a (false) negative!

Certainly looks positive! All you can do is wait a few days and test again and see where you're at. And update us of course! 😉

Thank you, just so confusing as first instinct with a positive test is to test again, will test again tomorrow morning and see what comes up! Hoping for a positive result.

It's very early so the later tests might not have picked it up if you are more hydrated. Wait a few days and test again, test early in the morning as that's the best time when your wee is the most concentrated but that looks pretty positive to me!

Clear Blue ones never showed for me in the early days! I used internet cheapie strip tests (pink dye) and they work much better. Your HCG doubles every 48 hours so save your money and don't test again for another two days or so. But yes that looks positive to me!
