On my arms only, left arm worse that right. Itchy, no one else in house has them. Also, not sure if relevant but past few days I have felt unsteady on my feet and mixing up my words but may not be related.

They look like bites

Quackpot · 09/10/2022 00:35

Hives or bites.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 09/10/2022 00:39

Flea bites , see your GP about the rest or go to urgent care .

Marcipex · 09/10/2022 00:41

They do look like flea bites. Do you have dogs or cats?
Of course, that doesn’t explain feeling unsteady etc. I think you should ring 111 for advice.

hearditthroughthegravevine · 09/10/2022 00:42

I have two dogs and two cats but they have all been flea treated quite recently. I thought it might be that however why isn't everyone in the house coming out in them?

Looks like fleas to me. They might be in your soft finishings.

Mykittensaremyfriends · 09/10/2022 00:47

Indorex spray

avamiah · 09/10/2022 00:49

Yes I agree about flea bites,

I have 3 cats and one of them went missing for a week and when he came back within a hour myself and my daughter had red spots on our arms and legs and they were very itchy.
He had fleas.

@hearditthroughthegravevine ,

lol, I know, my other 2 cats didn’t show any itching signs at first only me and my daughter.

I bought a flea spray from the vet for the house and you have to spray every little corner in case they have laid eggs.😬and I just did a flea treatment on the cats and then after a few hours hoovered and mopped the floors.

All was well after a day or so .
Good luck
😾

Marcipex · 09/10/2022 01:06

I think fexofenadine is what you need to buy to stop your itching, but anyway the pharmacist will advise you.

zigahzigah · 09/10/2022 01:08

Also just noticed I have really hairy arms for a woman 🤣

I shave any unwanted hair apart from my top lip which I use cream hair remover it only takes 30 seconds.
Years ago i used to get waxing then I realised a good razor in the bath/ shower has the same effect if not smoother and a hell of a lot cheaper.

I'm not sure the poster was asking for hair removal tips.

Quite. How rude.

NoInvitesEver · 09/10/2022 23:22

Could they be bed bug bites? They often are arms or upper body. And many people don't react to them so others in house can appear unaffected. Could be other things but worth considering.

Discovereads · 09/10/2022 23:27

I agree they are bites. However, theyre probably not flea bites. On humans, fleas tend to go for colder areas as we run a bit too warm for them. So hands, feet, bony areas like ankles, knees, elbows.

They look more like spider or bed bug. Spider will have two punctures in the centre of the bite, bed bugs one puncture in the centre of the bite.

You may be reacting to the bites. All biting insects have a sort of saliva that they use to keep your blood from coagulating while they bite you. Some people are sensitive to this in varying degrees and that causes the inflammation and fever/dizzy feeling.
