Apparently Liz Truss is worth £8.4m. Where did this come from?

Her father is an emeritus professor of pure mathematics at the University of Leeds, while her mother was a nurse and teacher.

So not naturally a high worth background?

She dragged herself up by her bootstraps, OP! Just goes to show that anyone can be a multi-millionaire if they work hard! If you're poor, you've only yourself to blame!

I am also confused by this. She lives in a normal 3-bed house so it's not like she's got 2 £3m homes.

Seriously though OP try not to dwell on things like this. Could be so many things, family money, she's just simply earned it, wealthy cuckolded husband , lottery win, backhanders from franking companies or just the stat itself is inaccurate.

Plenty newspaper articles declaring this today ..... but none of them detailing how they arrive at that sum. So how do we know its even remotely accurate ...

Not sure this really explains it but says she also owns a "home" (no further details) in Greenwich. What does her husband do? Is their combined wealth being bundled together?

Greenwich is not cheap for housing and it looks like she lives in a very nice one.
