Just like the subject says really. I find it offensive when people ask my partner this but he doesn't. I have two older kids from a previous relationship (10 and 12) and we have an 8mo together.

It is a bit rude. I know at least three people who have between 13 and 18 years between their children, same parents, so I don't think a big age gap is uncommon at all.

I forgot to mention the time that my dad's colleague, when he mentioned I was expecting number 4, suggested that someone spoke to me about contraception. As if none of them were planned.

Well he isn’t their dad so what is the problem?
I don’t pretend for one minute that my nephews and nieces are my kids.
