A local boy, aged 14, was stabbed to death last night near me. By another 14 year old.

He was in my daughter's school, he was a lovely boy, never in trouble. A random boy knifed him to death for no reason.

I'm still in shock. I'm heartbroken for the boy's parents and family. The school has released a letter saying they will support students affected by the tragedy.

Not an AIBU really, just saddened and angry that knife crime is so rife and a young boy has lost his life needlessly and a family has lost a son.

So tragic, I know how something as shocking as this sends shockwaves out into the community. My heart goes out to all those affected.

That's just awful. I can't imagine something so senseless.

It is truly awful. I cannot imagine the heartbreak for all involved.

So sad to hear this. So tragic when young lives are taken so needlessly. Effectively the offenders life is over too. I wonder how much first person video games are to blame and the glorification of weapons in them. I think the teenage brain maybe can't separate out fantasy from reality in some circumstances particularly if there is neurodiversity in the mix.

Seems to be happening with frightening frequency amongst younger teens. What is going on in this country? Kids used to get beaten up, awful of course, but they got up and walked away. Now they are stabbed and end up dead.

I think this must be what I've just seen on the news. So, so sad.

Another young life tragically taken , when will this country wise up to knife crime? There is no Legal excuse for any youngster to carry a blade
