y13 dc and personal statement.

Just had a row with dd. I suggested she made a start thinking about her personal statement for UCAS. (Not Oxbridge).
Apparently school have said don't start it yet, concentrate on picking uni's.
So, if you have a y13 dc doing UCAS, have they started their personal statement yet?

Hmmm, so I got a very quick response from school saying
"No, she shouldn't be starting her personal statement just yet."
The e mail was a pretty comprehensive answer, and reassured me it is all in hand and dd will be guided and prompted throughout the procedure.
I have to trust the school don't I.
It just makes me nervous though…..
